Highly Recommended!

Please consider this to be my strongest personal and professional recommendation for the quality of baseball, the information, and instruction provided by Ryan Rowland-Smith in his clinic and travel team interactions. He is a health and performance coach with Major League Baseball experience who will help athletes have fun learning to be competitive in the game. His work will increase the exposure they need to play at higher levels around the baseball world. It’s must do baseball.

“The NxtGen Baseball Camp is an awesome experience for any aspiring baseballer. The children learn many skills and gain insightful information on the professional baseball world from MLB players Ryan Rowland-Smith and Trent Oeltjen. Their team of elite baseballers encourage the kids in such a fantastic manner, contributing to an awesome vibe and a great learning experience. Our boys loved every second. They can't wait to do another camp soon. Thanks!”

Big League Dreams Tour Review

I’d like to congratulate you both and your fabulous wives for making our NXT GEN Big League Dreams Tour in July the highlight of our baseball journey to date, and by that, I mean surpassing even the Little League World Series which we attended as players and spectators in August last year.
Right from the outset, we could see that this concept was the start of something great. To assemble close what I’d call the best 13year old and under talents in NSW and have them all commit to the trip was incredible and a testament to what both of you bring to the game. In fact, I would go as far as saying that would be pretty close to a NSW U14 team if Baseball Australia still had the U14 National Youth Championships.
Your itinerary was a great mix of baseball for the players and activities for the parents and siblings. The baseball teams we played were of the highest calibre and the venue’s first class. The coaching that you both gave the boys off and on the field, was evident by the results the team had over the 10 days, playing teams, in some cases that were much older. It was great that you gave the players and parents an honest evaluation of the player’s current ability, and what you felt they needed to work on to take their game to the next level.
Your ongoing mentoring of the boys is unbelievable, and I know for one, that it is highly valued by Jake. He knows that he can contact you at any time and ask a question or show you a video of his game, and you always come back to him straight away.
You are aware that Jake has gone on to be selected in the NSW U16’s side to complete in the National Youth Championships next January as the only 2003 born player. There’s no doubt his selection is in part due to your mentoring and guidance.
I would recommend anyone who has the chance to be part of a future NXT GEN Tour grasp it with both hands. It is tremendous.

What they're Saying

Trent Oeltjen and Ryan Rowland Smith are 2 of Australia’s greatest baseballers , I have had the privilege of managing both these players in Australian Baseball teams at the Olympics and world championships. To have reached the major leagues as both these guys have done is an amazing feat, a lot of people don’t understand how hard that is and to stay there for a period of time is even harder both of these guys achieved that. Both Ryan and Trent have started a baseball coaching business as well as setting up tours, I could not think of 2 better Australians who have a keen interest in helping other Australian kids realize their dreams just as both did a young players. Both guys have been through every part of the journey that a player has to take to get to the major leagues, they played junior baseball in Australia got signed, went through the slog of the minor leagues, have had agents they understand all facets of being a major leaguer.

As coaches they have an abundance of knowledge, on top of that they are great communicators and work great with kids. Above all of that they are both great people. I have no hesitation in throwing my support behind these 2 gentlemen in their venture, both great Australian who have achieved greatness in their sport.
